 It was one of the freshest ideas for a writing competition ever. Mass eavesdropping took place on July 1st 2010, all across the nation. Writing was submitted in response to overhears as weird and wonderful as ’Yes, we’re rabbit-sitting. They’re paying us in cushions and umbrellas’ and ‘four o’clock in the morning is the best time to do burglary.’ Now the best of those have been immortalized online and in an anthology, and a selection will be shared tonight. Expect laughter, sadness,a touch of madness and a redain from Bright Young Thing, Susie Wild.
