Oh Twitterverse, we love it when you deliver us gems. This is a rather special one. This week twice Booker nominee Jon McGregor tweeted about Cynan Jones' The Long Dry, calling it a 'masterpiece' and his 'book of the year'. We're rather pleased.
This discovery kicked off when on 6 December 2011 Jon tweeted this:

He then contacted Cynan Jones:
@cynan1975 Have just finished reading 'The Long Dry'. Absolutely knocked me out. Really, really impressed. Will be telling all and sundry..
Following this a little bit of twitter chitchat went on between @jon_mcgregor and our editor @KathrynGray who interviewed Jon at Hay Festival a few years back. In this Jon said these things:
'So; what other absolute gems have Parthian been hiding from me?? VERY impressed by The Long Dry.'
And, on Cynan Jones' newest book Everything I Found on the Beach: 'It's already on order; and will be checking out other Parthian books asap...'
And then again on 7 December 2011 there was this tweet:

Did I mention 'The Long Dry' by Cynan Jones yet today? My book of the year, even if it did come out in 2007.
