Winner of the Beterriko Liburua Award and Zazpi Kale Prize

‘This is a brave book, because the author gets naked in it, bringing to the fore aspects of life that usually stay in the intimate sphere as if the author were daring her readers to peek into her display window and stare at things they don’t want to see.’

Iker Zaldua, Gara

‘As far as I know, there’s never been a book like this in our language. No man or woman, pen in hand, or hammering into a typewriter or a computer, has ever produced such a truth-filled first-person narrative. Not one infused with this much power and dexterity, at least. Not one as beautiful or raw.’

Hasier Etxeberria, Zuzeu

A Glass Eye moves with a magnificent rhythm, it’s made of extraordinary, polished language, and is conceptually gorgeous.’

Txani Rodriguez, Basque Radio-Television (EITB)

A writer in her late thirties retreats to Landes in France for a while, fleeing from her own suffering after the break-up of a relationship. Little by little, she finds solace in writing about the losses in her life, about her person, and about indifference and freedom, and in sharing the doubts that arise in her creative process.
