He was educated at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg in Barry before studying English at Mansfield College, Oxford. He has been twice-shortlisted for the Rhys Davies Short Story Award and has been part of the Hay Festival Writers at Work programme. His stories and poems have appeared in \u003cem\u003eThe London Magazine\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ePoetry Wales\u003c\/em\u003e, the \u003cem\u003eNew Welsh Review\u003c\/em\u003e and on BBC Radio 4.
