These courses range from a week or just a day all throughout the year. Ty Newydd is a part of Literature Wales, who offer writing bursaries to help fund your time to fully dedicate to building your creative writing. To find out more about bursaries go to the Literature Wales site.
Like Ty Newydd, The Terry Hetherington Prize is also a platform for emerging writers to showcase their writing. One of Parthian’s up-coming writers Jodie Bond recently returned from her time at Ty Newydd:
"Ty Newydd is a place shrouded in magic. You aren't just booking a writing course. Ty Newydd helped grow my confidence as a writer and introduced me to an inspiring group of peers who I still see regularly so we can chat books and share stories. My stay there was instrumental in securing a book deal with Parthian, which I could not be more excited about, nor be more grateful for. It's paradise for the writer's soul." - Jodie Bond
